This is one of those sites that was a simple concept and need, but a very short deadline. It’s also a great example of how a project doesn’t need to be big in scope to be very rewarding. The company specializes in stylish photography but on a budget, so this is not the high-end market—more for the little guys who still want their day to be special.

CDL came to me with a 100% Flash website that was done back in 2000. The goal was to modernize the look and give Gary and Cheryl a site they could update themselves since the old site was pretty much the same as when it launched. I also helped them focus on the organization and messaging to communicate what they are about. Gary also wanted to start a blog which we incorporated into the site.

NUFASH.com is all about hot, new fashion and is located in the U.K. They feature fashion, beauty and male grooming and also reveal shopping hotspots from around the globe. NUFASH.com had a name but not much else and I developed the branding around their core fashion concept and, of course, the request for purple to dominate.

Organic Spa Magazine

The magazine motto is “It’s a Lifestyle, Live It!” and for this redesign we went all out to reflect the print version’s flair, color and style. It initiates a new direction for the company to build the Organic Spa Magazine brand on the web.

For the content management system I chose Expression Engine and the back-end work was done by the great people at Visual Chefs. From numerous types of articles, product reviews, recipes, excerpts, tips and tricks, Q&A’s, virtual tours, multimedia meditation rooms and more — this site had numerous challenges and items that had to be coordinated and designed.

J-Rock TV

This is for a company in Japan who is big in the J-Rock scene. This site is a community video site meant to promote J-Rock artists and their videos in the States. For those not familiar, Japanese Rock is a thriving music spectacle genre today with wild clothes, hair and style. The dominant colors are the pink and purple tones. Subtlety is not really acceptable for many bands, but there are traditional looks for many of the groups as well. This site was a quick turnaround as the branding had to be done for the Anime Expo.

Generator Group delivers integrated search, selection, and talent management solutions to support business growth. They specialize in finding the right talent through a search and selection process they have trademarked as SureHire.

This project was a reworking of their dated sales tools and PDF brochures to make a cohesive new look for them to present themselves.

Coda Construction Group

Coda Construction Group had been so busy working to make commercial interiors beautiful, they hadn’t had time to work on their website. They didn’t have alot of content except some not-so-good digital photos. I recommended a tremendous photographer to them, and set about making their site focus on the images of the interiors and using textures to evoke buildings and real spaces. WordPress was chosen for the CMS as their needs were very simple. Logo work and print materials were also done.
